Very nice. Here is a picture of my Bambusa Oldhamii. Its 5 years old but it freezes back every year.

For some reason I can't see the pic....where are you at that the Oldhamii dies back every year?

You should be able to see it now. I recently updated the forum and i forgot to adjust some settings, but its fixed now. Im in north Florida near Tallahassee.

Ok, I see it now. What temps do you see in the winter? I would think they would be similar to Jacksonville lows. I know we had 18f here and most of my tropical bamboos were unaffected by these temps, including the Oldhamii and Kimmei. I had several that did freeze back that have since recovered, and one that did not come back at all...

Yep, its a jack russel. It usually gets down in the teens about 3 or 4 times over the winter. I thought it was gonna make it through last winter but we had a late freeze in that got down to 15 and stayed there for about 8 hours. The oldhamii turned brown after that. I think i might build a little shelter this winter.
